National Orthopaedics Hospital Enugu Receives International Recognition

The National orthopaedics hospital was agog with jubilation as an award of excellence was conferred on the hospital by a United States based organisation, The Smile Train. The award, 2014 Global Leader on Cleft Palate care, was presented by the Smile Train Programme Manager,West Africa, Victoria Awazie.

She said, "The hospital and medical staff provide world class, innovative orthopaedic care in a friendly, compassionate, community environment, conducive to patients recuperation in a family atmosphere." The Chief Medical Director, Dr Cajetan Nwadinigwe, was in attendance.

The hospital was adjudged the best, out of 86 other countries of the world, in Cleft Care management.
Smile Train is an international children charity organisation, rendering a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problems like cleft lips and palate.
