Olayode Juliana, popularly known as 'Toyo Baby' in Funke Akindele-Bello's popular Television comic series, Jenifa's Diaries, has finally spoken out about her estranged relationship she had with Funke Akindele, aka Jenifa.
 
In a post making the rounds on social media, she opened up about their relationship, claiming that she was Funke's unofficial; Personal Assistant, Makeup artist, Caterer, Costumier, Driver, Cleaner, Washer woman, Masseur, Prayer partner and Script adviser. She let it all out, as e dey hot!!!

An 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by three boys younger than ten at a travellers' funeral, police say. The young victim and her friend were attacked by the three boys - thought to be guests at the funeral - as they walked through the cemetery.

Anambra Resident Perfect The Act of Scaling Gully Gutters (Photos)... However This Resident Is Not Finding It Funny

Anambra state resident may be enjoying relative peace and tranquility at the moment, but it seems they know no true peace especially as one approach these jumbo, mega, gully-like gutters traversing the length and breadth of major towns in the state.

Gutters as high as the height of an average adult, remains a mystery especially to residents who over the years have had to be creative when there is need to scale one of those jumbo gutters. The photo above was shared by a concerned resident of the state on her Facebook timeline FB/chidiebere maduafor. She confirms that the latest technique to scaling the Gully-like gutter is the Pulley-Lever Technique...

This is her plea and it begs for urgent answer

Breaking News: Elechi Amadi dies at 82

PORT HARCOURT : ONE of Africa’s finest novelist, poet and dramatist Captain Elechi Amadi died Wednesday at the Good Heart hospital in Port Harcourt at the age of 82.

A member of the family, Bar Wabueze Amadi, confirmed the development to the Vanguard newspaper on phone, saying he passed on at about 3: 45pm at the hospital. The late captain Elechi Amadi was among the first generation of African writers and novelists.

Elechi Amadi Some of his works include The Concubine, The Great Ponds, Isiburu, Sunset in Biafra, Dance of Johannesburg, Peppersoup, The Road to Ibadan, The Slave , Estrangement and the Woman of Calaber.

Student makes history at Covenant University

This 21-year-old guy, Winner Deji-Folutile, has been announced as the best graduating student of Covenant University with a 4.972 CGPA in Architecture, the first Architecture student to so emerge in the university's 14 years' history. The worst results he ever got were two Bs. He scored As in all other courses.

Winner is also the university’s student council chairman and his set’s valedictorian. He also had the best result in WASSCE and NECO when he graduated from secondary school (Faith Academy, Ota). He also had the third best result in NECO in Ogun State in 2012.

Kudos to him! Academic excellence is always worthy of celebration

The rounds today was smooth, especially since the warning strike action embarked upon by the Association Of Resident Doctors (ARDS) came to an end today. I happen to be in the Paediatric surgery unit in my facility here. Last week when the strike started, most of the patients were discharged since there would be no resident doctor on hand to see the patients. This is apart from critical patients who may not survive outside expert care.

This happened in Ghana today. Nigerians truly have a big heart.
Earlier in the day, Marvin Oriaku donated 2 pints of blood as part of his Pre-Birthday Party Activity. He visited the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Ghana and discovered that a patient could not afford to pay for blood available in the blood bank... So what did he do? He simply submitted himself for screening and subsequent donation to the lady. He shared the photos on his facebook.

Photos: baby born with deadly condition where legs fuse together in the womb



A 22 year old mother, from Sahranpur, in Uttar Pradesh, northern India, gave birth to this baby who only lived for 10 minutes because he/she had a rare congenital condition called Sirenomelia also known as 'Mermaid syndrome'. The condition is a form of congenital deformity which causes what looks like a single limb, thereby keeping the legs fused together, it also makes it almost impossible to determine the sex of the child after delivery. Doctors in Indian were astonished as they said they have seen congenital disorders amongst children but this particularly one was an extremely rare case.
