Maiduguri more secure than Lagos and Abuja- Borno governor
Borno State governor Kashim Shettima said that the recent successes
recorded by the military against Boko Haram terrorists had made the
state capital a safe haven for all Nigerians and is even more safe than
Lagos.. Shettima stated this on Sunday in an interview with the News
Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri. He said
“Maiduguri is more secure than even Lagos or Abuja. There are 2 million people living in Maiduguri. We celebrated Sallah without any incident,” Shettima said

The World Sickle Cell Day is on the 19th of June, every year. However this year, 2016, the Sickle Cell Aid Foundation SCAF, in partnership with the US Embassy on Indigenous Mapping and Management of Sickle Cell Disorder, organised a symposium that was attended by Sickle Cell Experts, medical doctors and policy makers. The symposium was on 20th June, 2016.

Dr. Vanessa Agozie Amala got inducted a year ago as a medical doctor, while Evang. Anthony Osas Igbinosun graduated in 2011 with a BSc in Human Physiology before moving on to further his education in the United Kingdom.
Their love story started on June 2, 2006 when they began to date and they became a popular couple on the Elele Campus due to the longevity of their relationship and the sizzling romance between them.

Beautiful Joy Akabuike, victim of Peace Mass accident is in coma
Joy Akabuike, a graduate of Imo State
Polytechnic, is currently in coma following the ghastly accident
involving a commercial bus belonging to Peace Mass Transit and a truck
which occurred last Sunday in Umuahia. The split photos shows her taking a
pic before embarking on the ill fated journey and lying beside the
mangled bus shortly after the accident.

Metuh begs court for permission to travel abroad on medical ground
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesman Olisa Metuh has urged a Federal High Court in Abuja for permission to travel to the United Kingdom for five weeks on medical ground.

The rounds today was smooth, especially since the warning strike action embarked upon by the Association Of Resident Doctors (ARDS) came to an end today. I happen to be in the Paediatric surgery unit in my facility here. Last week when the strike started, most of the patients were discharged since there would be no resident doctor on hand to see the patients. This is apart from critical patients who may not survive outside expert care.
The rounds today was smooth, especially since the warning strike action embarked upon by the Association Of Resident Doctors (ARDS) came to an end today. Last week when the strike started, most of the patients were discharged since there would be no resident doctor on hand to see the patients.
