Ugandan Child Abuser: Sentenced to 4 years in Jail

Some still believe that the Ugandan maid caught on tape beating a toddler in her care should be killed. The maid, Jolly Tumuhirwe, a 22year old lady was secretly filmed late November, by 18-month old, Arnella Kamanzi, in their home near Kampala. However, the verdict of 4 years in prison have been handed down to Jolly.
The footage showed the maid bashing the wailing toddler, stepping on her and smacking her face. The video went viral on social media, with hundreds of thousands seeing it and shocked by such level of abuse.

The maid last week, pleaded guilty to abusing and maltreating the toddler as she was motivated by beatings given to her by small Arnella's mother- an allegation that the mother, Angella Kamanzi, denied.

The family have long accepted the verdict and hope other maids perpetuating thesame acts, turn a new leaf. "This verdict should serve as a message to other maids out there, that they should not mistreat children", Eric Kamanzi, Arnella Father said.
