Medical Student wins Miss World 2014

22 year old, Rolene Strauss... Miss South African, now Miss World 

Miss Strauss was surrounded by other stunning beauty as she emerged Miss World, 2014. The beauty Queen is also Miss South Africa. She is the third South African to have held this title; two other South Africans have held this title in 1958 and 1974.

Miss Strauss will be the 1st medical student to hold that title in the South African Nation. Miss Strauss was crowned by the former Miss World, Megan Young of the Philippines at the Excel exhibition centre, London.

The runner up is Miss Hungary, Edina Kulcsar, the second runner up was Miss USA, Elizabeth Safrit.
This is the 64th competition and it keenly contested by 121 women from around the world.
Miss Strauss do have a good sense of humour when she spoke about her new crown, hear her;

“I’ll definitely keep it on as long as I can but my parents are staying around here so they’ll be hugging me and I’m afraid that it might fall off,” she said.
